Ансамбль Рогожской ямской слободы относится к памятникам XIX века. Он расположен в самом центре Москвы на Школьной улице. Часть улицы сейчас - пешеходная зона и стала музеем под открытым небом. Раньше улица носила название Тележная, затем по имени Рогожской слободы - 1-я Рогожская, современное название улица получила в 1923 году.
Дома с 12 по 48 относятся к XIX столетию. Они двухэтажные с воротами для лошадей, сделанными для того, чтобы здесь могли останавливаться обозы, шедшие по Владимирскому тракту. В слободе жили ямщики, которые в основном были старообрядцами. Они вели размеренный традиционный образ жизни и в конце XIX века не смогли составить конкуренцию железной дороге. В результате многие разорились. После пожара 1886 года улица окончательно пришла в упадок.

Ensemble of Rogozhskaya Yamskaya Settlement
The ensemble of Rogozhskaya Yamskaya Settlement is a historical and cultural monument 19th century. It include building on Shkolnaya Street in central Moscow, of which a part is a pedestrian zone.
There in the Shkolnaya Street is an original, open-air museum. The modern name appeared in 1923, previously called Telezhnaya Street (“relating to carts”), and then 1st Rogozhskaya Street, thus the name Rogozhskaya Yamskaya (“relating to coachmen”) Settlement.
Rogozhskaya Yamskaya Settlement 19th century - house numbers 12-48 on Shkolnaya Street have a similar structure of two storeys and mandatory gates for horses, because this is where carts stopped while going along the road to Vladimir.
In this street lived yamshiki coachmen many of these were Old Believers, which left its imprint on the lives of residents of this historic district. Old Believers followed a strictly traditional way of life, marked by regular order. So in the late 19th century, the yamshiki coachmen were not able to compete with the railway and many went bankrupt; the street went into terminal decline after a great fire that occurred in 1886.
